LEVI'S 505 was born in 1967, based on the 501ZXX.
These are cut-off shorts made from the 505 BIG E.
Cut-offs from this era often have a shorter length, but this pair seems to have retained a decent length.
Although the red tab is missing,

Considering the above details, it is presumed to be a 60's 505 BIG E.
The fading has the authentic look of VINTAGE denim.
And the fact that it's a 505 with selvage is also a high point.
While many VINTAGE denim cut-off shorts have poor sizing, this one is a welcome find with a waist size of around W32 inches.
The zipper elements are not meshing properly, and while there is some sticking when zipping and unzipping, it can still be opened and closed.
