I think the balance is good with the width and length for this era.
When I bought it at a vintage shop, there were many frayed holes and the tag was about to come off, so I had it repaired by a tailor. I deliberately had it sewn with yellow thread in a rough way, which gives it a nice vintage look.
Please understand that there are some holes and fraying due to the nature of vintage clothing.
