Levis リーバイス (Levi's)
717-0217: This is the student model of the 517, which was born in 1971.
Features include a single-stitched pocket lining, bar tacks, a SCOVIL zipper, original chain stitching at the hem, and yellow cotton stitching throughout. The indigo color is also deep, allowing for enjoyable fading over time. While the 517 is a bootcut, this model has less flare at the hem, resulting in a nearly straight silhouette. The button on the back is marked "16." "16 button" jeans often exhibit the "vertical fading" characteristic of older denim, creating a rich, textured look. These are also relatively rare, and this pair is equivalent to the early 66 model.
