Description:
This charming piece of history is an authentic antique Weir two-tone stoneware canning jar. It features a classic two-tone glaze with a rich brown top and a lighter beige/tan base, a hallmark of Western Stoneware.
The original lid is marked with the patent date “Pat. March 1st 1892.” It includes a functional wire bail clamping mechanism, originally used for food preservation.
In excellent vintage condition, this piece has imperfections characteristic of its age, such as minor oxidation on the wire bail or small chips to the base (please inspect all photos carefully). It would be perfect for adding a touch of rustic, farmhouse, or primitive decor to your kitchen or home.
