DISORDER: SWISS GRIT VOL. II by Chris Ashworth
I obtained this book through international shipping from a German art book dealer.
I am selling it because I want to reduce my collection of books little by little due to moving. After purchasing it, I stored it in a dark place without reading it much.
The following is quoted from the twelvebooks online site:
--------------------------
A collection of works by Chris Ashworth, a British graphic designer. This is the first publication dedicated to the achievements and career of the author, a designer who has truly practiced with his own hands. From the 1990s, he rose to prominence and explored typography, layout, and visual storytelling while being an American alternative rock and roll magazine, "Ray Gun," which influenced the approach of many graphic designers, to recent experimental typography projects, this book embodies the author's "Swiss Grit."
The author continues to balance a successful career as a creative director with a second career as an experimental designer and typographer. He began his career in the early 1990s designing club flyers in the north of England. His unique graphic design methods are considered classics of 1990s music magazine culture, and are evident in his work on the British lifestyle & music magazine "Blah Blah Blah," co-created with designer Neil Fletcher, and the aforementioned "Ray Gun," gaining him many fans. The author's creative approach is called "Swiss Grit," which he describes as "a fusion of Swiss design principles and street aesthetics with a soul-infused typographic perspective."
