Early Plastic Bar Brooch, With Facets, Vintage Plastic End of Day Brooch c1930s

This is a beautiful early plastic bar brooch, with random facets which, coupled with the random colours, make this a fascinating brooch. It looks like a bakelite brooch but I think it is made of galalith, which a French type of early plastic, similar to English casein. It is in very good used condition very good - tiny fleabite to edge of one end and the pin is very slightly lifted at hinge end (please see last two photos) Approx 6.5 cm (2.5inches) long.
