Levi's 702XX
In the 1990s, PB replica denim brands were launched in Japan, and Levi Strauss Japan launched a reproduction of the 501 to compete with them. However, they were not granted permission from the US to use the 501 lot number, so it became the 702.
This reproduction model incorporates details reminiscent of the 501 from around 1937.

- Hidden rivets
Around this time, belt loops began to be added, and the famous red tab was born. The silhouette is a deep rise with a wide, piped straight leg. The front top button is a donut type, creating a vintage feel.
