Vintage spoon, approximately 6 inches long with a fiddle handle pattern. Marked on back Geo E. Childs. I was not able to determine where or when George E. Childs was in operation as a silversmith, but did find reference to a possibly related George K. Childs in operation in Philadelphia circa 1830s. This spoon is believed to be coin silver, though not marked with a metal content.
Heavy overall tarnish. Monogram on handle.
