Gyotaku of Black drum

This is an original, one-of-one Gyotaku fish impression created by me, Zachary Fowler of Fowler’s Makery and Mischief on YouTube. The impression was made using the actual black drum, over 3 feet long, caught on the Florida Gulf Coast near Destin during my filmed adventure, “Crossbow Fishing Giant Stingray and Black Drum – Gulf Coast Catch and Cook | Day 2.” After landing the fish, I preserved the moment using the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku, capturing the true shape, scales, and character of the fish exactly as it was. This is not a reproduction. After the print was completed, the black drum was blackened and cooked right on the seashore—mild, flaky, and absolutely delicious.
