A pair of handcrafted folk marionette puppets dating to the mid-20th century, likely European or Latin American in origin. Each features a hand-painted carved wooden head w/expressive naive facial features, cotton textile clothing w/hand-stitched details, straw hats, carved wooden limbs, & original wooden control bars with string mechanisms (not modern nylon). Straw hats & carved wooden feet are typical of mid-century origin. Circa 1940s–1960s. These are not modern décor reproductions.
