Once Is Not Enough is the third novel by Jacqueline Susann, published in 1973 following bestsellers Valley of the Dolls (1966) and The Love Machine (1969). While touring for the book, she checked into a hospital to later find she had cancer. Susann passed away a year later at 56.
Jacqueline Susann (1918-1974) was an American novelist and actress, best known for the bestselling Valley of the Dolls (1966). Susann became the first author to have three novels top the Best Seller List consecutively.
