New, Unopened

This is the first photo book by London-born photographer Nico Perez, composed of photographs based on his daily life. Shot entirely on 35mm film, this work elegantly and poetically depicts his environment and life.

Nico Perez
Born in Malaga, Spain in 1986. Currently resides in Tokyo.
After moving to the UK in his childhood, he spent time between Spain and the UK. He studied Film and Languages at Queen Mary University of London. He began teaching himself photography in 2007, and first visited Tokyo on a photography trip in 2008. He was inspired by Tokyo's poignant "blue" atmosphere and the loneliness of the city. In 2009, he participated in a workshop by photographer Rinko Kawauchi in London, which led him to pursue a career in photography, and he moved to Tokyo. He currently works between Tokyo and London.
