Antique Ralph Hall, Staffordshire, Platter in the "Shelter’d Peasants" pattern. It is part of the "Select Views" series featuring a pastoral setting.  It is a form of blue transferware, a popular style of earthenware, sometimes called "Pearlware", developed in Staffordshire, England.  It dates from 1822-1841.
The platter measures 17" by 13.25". It is in very good condition considering its’ age. There are no chips or cracks and no noticeable crazing. The front shows minor wear. If you look closely, you can see some knife marks and small brown spots. The back side has scratches and shows more wear than the front.
