★What is Ata?
It is a type of fern, and it is a famous craft of Tenganan Village in Bali, where the long stems are split lengthwise and carefully woven.
It is made by weaving → sun-drying → coloring → shade-drying, and it takes time and effort to finish.
It has a unique scent (due to being smoked with coconut juice) and is also insect-repellent and mold-resistant.
