Sterling Silver Coin Troy Ounce Nevada Centennial 1975 Boulder Dam Bezel Chain
This is a beautifully hand painted commemorative coin issued in 1975 by I think the Las Vegas JayCees. 1 troy ounce coin with a diamond cut rope bezel. 24 inch Italian sterling silver rope chain stamped 925 Italy. Strong lobster clasp. This piece was hand painted by Chet Price in the 80's. Beautiful colors. He's one of the best coin painters I'd ever run across in my 42 years in the industry. I carried an entire line of hand painted coins and tokens he created. The colors are outstanding and this coin denotes the Hoover Dam - a gold miner and bear - a slot machine - pair of dice - 21 cards. The backside of the coin is not painted and denotes Heritage - Beauty - Freedom with an American bald eagle. Stamped 1975. The total gram weigh is 38 grams. It is of course the only piece I have.
