Takehiko Yamamoto Signed Etched Hoya Crystal Plate (8.25”, Signed)

This Hoya lead crystal plate features a striking three-dimensional etched poppy design, with deeply carved, frosted flowers rising prominently from the clear crystal surface. The layered petals, central seed pods, and gently curving stems create a sculptural relief with strong depth and shadow play as light moves across the crystal. Rather than a flat surface etch, the floral motif appears almost formed within the crystal itself, producing a pronounced cameo-like, 3D effect. Signed by renowned Hoya glass artist Takehiko Yamamoto.

Hoya has since discontinued decorative crystal production and now focuses exclusively on optical, industrial, and medical glass, making signed art crystal pieces such as this increasingly scarce.
