A vintage treasure from 1973, the deaf Smith country cookbook, natural foods for family kitchens, by Marjorie Winn Ford, Susan Hillyard, and Mary Faulk Koock. The book begins by explaining who Jeff Smith was, why the focus on natural foods, and moving into the various meals of the day and different types of recipes.
The book is definitely well loved and was well used. There are a few pages where the corners have been folded down as well as a few pages where recipes have been circled or marks made near the recipes. Several pages do have some of the stains on them but nothing that obscures the view of the text on the page.
