Handcrafted black pottery vase by Lorenza Vigil A., a Tiwa Indian descendant from Ranchos de Taos, Taos, New Mexico. This unique piece was created using traditional black ceramic techniques, beginning with white clay and then high-fired at approximately 2,000°F to achieve its deep glossy finish.
Each design line was freehand carved by the artist herself, producing a striking contrast between the polished black glaze and the matte carved imagery. The vase is accented with a genuine turquoise stone and real feather, giving it a classic Southwest presentation.
Includes the original artist information card shown in the photos.
Approximate size is about 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide at the base.
This is a standout example of modern Native American artisan pottery and displays beautifully from every angle.
Condition: Pre-Owned Like New
Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Natural variation in the finish and carving is part of the hand-crafted process.
