It's not a CD, it's a record. There is no information other than the fact that she is a folk singer from Glasgow. It's self-produced, a so-called private folk record. Judging from the fact that all the records I've seen have her autograph, I would guess that there were probably around 50 to 100 copies released. Based on the sound and the cassette tape photo that it seems she released in 1985, I would guess that it was made sometime between 1978 and about 5 years after. It doesn't have any original songs, but it includes songs written by her father and songs by the poet Robert Burns. It's not traditional folk, but it's also not quite like what people usually call traditional folk, nor is it religious or psychedelic folk; it's a sincere type of singing. There are some Gaelic songs, but most of it is in English. There is a rhythm section, and it particularly suits the concertina well, making it easy to listen to. While it has signs of aging, the record itself is in good condition. In this era of overflowing information on streaming services, wouldn't it be a good idea to occasionally listen to music that nobody knows about and reminisce about the old days? I wonder if there is really only this one copy in Japan. If anyone has it, please let me know.
