This is an early model C-1 vest from the US military. The right pocket (as viewed from the front) has likely been customized with different fabric. This piece has overall soiling and damage. Personally, I'm usually particular about the condition of items, but in this case, I don't really prefer a pristine condition. I find this level of wear strangely appealing, giving me a sense of comfort, and I've used it with affection.
It has a great vintage feel, but there are no issues with wear, buttons, or the rear ties.
