U.S. Military Surplus
A drawstring pouch from the 1940s, used by the U.S. Navy's MEDICAL DEPARTMENT during World War II.
The exact purpose is unknown, but it's believed to have been used as a laundry bag, mini duffel bag, or general-purpose bag.
Features olive drab fabric with "U.S.N. M.D." and a red cross printed on both sides. The opening is closed with a cord.
The color has hardly faded, and the print is still vibrant. There is some minor soiling on the bottom, but no tears. Considering its age, it's in mint condition with only minor signs of wear.
External dimensions: Approximately 40cm high x 17cm x 17cm (base)
This item is rarely seen, and even when found, they are usually quite worn.
