A beautiful vintage cast brass altar bell featuring a distinctive incised (carved-style) design of a Water Buffalo (Ox) reclining beneath stylized clouds. The bell has a unique six-sided hexagonal shape with a geometric "Thunder Pattern" border etched along the top rim.
Motif: Features a Water Buffalo, a symbol of strength and determination in Zen tradition, rendered in detailed incised lines.
Material: Cast brass with a vintage patina. The recessed lines of the design hold a white residue (likely vintage polish) that highlights the artwork.
Construction: Sand-cast interior; includes the wooden striker.
