Vintage Cast Iron Black & White Tuxedo Cat Doorstop 7" Tall Heavy Hubley Style
Antique early 20th century cast iron doorstop in the form of a seated black-and-white tuxedo cat with glossy black body, white bib, paws and muzzle, yellow eyes, and upright ears. Sits on a rectangular green-painted base. Red felt on bottom. Measures approximately 7 inches tall by 5 inches wide and weighs several pounds – very heavy and solid. Original paint with expected age-appropriate wear: minor chipping, light surface rust spots, and patina throughout – no touch-ups or repainting. Unmarked on the back or base, typical of many Hubley or National Foundry pieces from the 1920s–1930s era.
Classic Americana folk art piece, originally made as a functional doorstop but perfect today as a bookend, shelf display, or cat collectible. Excellent vintage condition with honest wear that adds character. See all photos for full detail – underside of base shown.
