This is a vintage General Electric PR-1 exposure meter (or light meter).
It was produced around the 1950s.
The meter uses a selenium cell, which has photoelectric properties, to measure light levels.
It features a "Trident Analyzer" on the dial to help photographers achieve proper exposure, offering a reading for accurate exposure, one stop over, and one stop under.
The meter has an internal high-low range system, using a mechanical shutter to limit light when in "High" range.
