Hand woven Wool/Metalic scarf.
This striking vintage scarf has a tag that reads "Designed & Woven by Robert D. Sailors Belmont, Michigan". It has a beautiful rough weave to it but is made from very soft materials. This is made of very fibrous, like loose fur/hair rather than anything that's actually been woven into a thread first. There are also metallic gold strands in the scarf. This scarf is 100% wool with metal strands. The scarf measures 74x19"
Sailors was born and lived in Michigan. His work is in the collection at the Art Institute of Chicago where he studied. More information can be found online.
