VTG 1950s Princess SEWING BASKET Flamingo Pink Black Felted POODLE Woven Paper

For your consideration is this vintage sewing basket produced by Princess Basket Company of Algonquin, Illinois, during the 1950s. Woven paper is weaved to look like rattan and covered with a chip-proof enamel. The colored enameled was referred to in newspaper advertisements as "Flamingo Pink." The top and bottom are warp-proof Masonite with the color matching the sides. The center is adorned with a felted black Poodle wearing a red collar with two gold-tone rhinestones adorning it. The dogs eye was most likely a rhinestone, but is no longer there. Inside is the original clear hard plastic thread and notions tray. The entire piece measures 11.8 inches long x 9 inches wide x 7.5 inches high and weighs 1 pound 12.3 ounces. The original manufacturer's tag is still attached to the inside lip. Double brown corded handles allow for the basket to be easily carried.Condition: Some slight fading and discoloration can be observed on the Masonite and woven basket portion. Poodle is missing an ey
